In This Scene: White sweaters and horizontal stripes are both difficult to wear, but David Park, a TV producer from LA, does it with ease. When you're layering a sweater over a shirt it's important to get the fit exactly right--neither layer too loose or too tight. Then, to balance a layered tops, go for slimmer bottoms. Park looks clean and crisp in his American Apparel outfit, red Dr. Marten boots, and limited edition Ray-Ban's.

In This Scene: Taylor Davies and Hailey Tully, rocking their matching Ray-Ban aviators and long cardigans, at Oysterfest 2010. Long cardigans look best when you wear something with a defined high waistline, like these ladies have done. Davies is in a skirt and cardigan from Anthropologie and Steven Madden sandals. Tully is wearing a Tory Burch cardigan, dress from Urban Outfitters and Target shoes.

In This Scene: Hana Go, manager of the Napa American Apparel, is rocking the black bra + white top combo with a lot of class. Lace is my favorite new trend and is perfect for sunny, sheer, summer layers. Go is wearing an American Apparel lace collection top, Silence & Noise high-waisted pants, Chanel pumps and bag.

In This Scene: Local photographer Sidney Lo, in a Band of Outsiders shirt with red button stitch details. I love that Lo uses the arm pocket of his Buzz Rickson flight jacket for his pen. The bottoms of the pen pockets have bullet shells in them to prevent any leaking--so brilliant.

In This Scene: Andrew Bricker's beautiful dog, Charlie, at the Sidney Lo book launch at Azalea Boutique. Now, I know there are all sorts of crazy four-legged fashions now, but nothing beat the classic red bandana on a well groomed pup.

In This Scene: Andy Kane, a soon to be SF State graduate, pays homage to Japanese punk style with a mix of clothing he purchased in Japan. Kane is wearing a motorcycle jacket by April77, and shoes, shirt and gloves by All Saints. Kane's railroad stripe capris are by Abba House. Whether worn with boots or sandals, I think capris should definitely be incorporated into the modern American male wardrobe.

In This Scene: Yui Kumnerdpun, in a stunning Phillip Lim cream jacket and a big, beautiful smile. A smile really can be your best accessory--especially with red lipstick. As for the jacket, I love how the flared shoulders make use of the strong shoulder trend, but remain entirely wearable.

In This Scene: Greg Borden's unique raglan sweater certainly caught my eye. This one-of-a-kind design, by Oakland designer JB, was purchased at Shotwell. It's a rather busy and interesting top so he was right to pair it with a simple pair of blue jeans. Borden self-made his necklace.

In This Scene: Krista Delosreyes, looking fab in a strapless chambray jumpsuit by American Apparel, and vintage red shoes and belt. Jumpsuits can be a great alternative to dresses in windy SF, but just remember high-waisted will be more flattering. This is a pretty versatile jumpsuit with a nice shape. I can see it looking great with rolled legs and a scarf tied around the neck.
